About this place
Tucked into the residential streets of Minami-Otsuka, Nana Kitchen fills its display with breads and treats that focus on rice flour and simple, thoughtful ingredients. The star offering is a homemade chiffon cake baked with 100 percent rice flour, yielding a distinctively springy yet tender, moist crumb. Beside it, visitors find wholesome snacks like dairy-free soy cream buns, melonpan, and crumbly melt-in-the-mouth cookies that make easy afternoon treats.
A small seating area allows diners to linger over a casual meal on-site as well as pick up bakes to go. For a more substantial lunch, the house-made fresh pasta made from Japanese wheat is featured in a vegetable-rich Napolitan, loaded with over 100 grams of vegetables and served alongside organic black oolong tea and orange jelly. Egg muffins and limited-quantity bacon-and-egg muffins offer satisfying savory bites that pair naturally with a cup of coffee.
The shop operates primarily two days a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays, keeping a quiet and unhurried neighborhood pace. PayPay is supported at the register, making this an easy stop whether you are picking up baked goods for home or stopping by for a relaxed cafe lunch.
